Jenna & Bill – Labelle Winery Wedding
What a day!!! Jenna & Bill’s wedding was a series of crazy events… but let’s back up. I first met Jenna & Bill when I shot Bill’s sister Lindsay’s wedding. Lindsay and Taylor got married two years ago, and I was so excited to get to see them again. Especially when I heard that Lindsay was expecting! Well… upon arriving at Labelle Winery for Jenna & Bill’s wedding, I find out that Lindsay’s water had broken literally hours before. Not only was there going to be a wedding that day, but a birth as well. Jenna & Bill were so excited for Lindsay & Taylor, and wished them nothing but a happy, healthy birth for baby Cameron (and it was!). To make matters even more complicated, Jenna’s brother Drew had been hospitalized and wasn’t going to be able to make it. AND it was raining. But Jenna & Bill took it all in stride, getting ready with smiles on their faces and butterflies in their stomachs as the time approached.
Jenna got ready in the bridal suite at Labelle Winery, taking the time to write down some sweet thoughts to send to Bill to read before the ceremony (and got a little emotional reading his!). Before going down to the ceremony, Jenna and her sisters spritzed on some of their grandmother’s perfume in remembrance of her. Bill and the groomsmen were down in the Vintage room getting ready close by.
When it was time for the ceremony, the lovely indoor setup was the perfect backdrop for Jenna & Bill to say “I Do” and Bill couldn’t contain some tears as he saw his beautiful bride approach.
After the ceremony, Jenna’s brother Drew arrived as a surprise!! He’d been released from the hospital just in time, and made it so that he could be in Jenna’s family photos. I had been watching the weather with fingers crossed the whole day, and fortunately the rain stopped just in time for some photos outside of the wedding party and Jenna & Bill. Labelle Winery’s back field is so lovely and pastoral, I was hoping we would make it out!
All too soon, we were back inside and the reception was underway. Jenna & Bill’s first dance was so sweet, and Jenna’s sister got emotional during her toast to not just her sister, but her best friend.
Fortunately, the sky stayed clear and we were able to sneak back outside quickly for some dramatic nighttime photos… I love it when my clients are as excited and nerdy about creative shots as I am!
From beginning to end, even with all the craziness, it was a wonderful day. Congratulations to Jenna & Bill, who approached everything with positivity and enjoyed their whole day from start to finish, hiccups and all. You guys were wonderful to work with!!
